Under Vehicle Spare Tire
WARNING: TO AVOID POSSIBLE INJURY, DO NOT PLACE ANY PART OF THE BODY UNDER THE CHANNEL WITH MOUNTED
SPARE TIRE DURING REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION.
REMOVAL
1. Remove bolt attaching hinge assembly to channel and lower rear of carrier.
2. Remove eye bolt and tire from channel assembly.
3. Remove two nuts attaching hinge to rear crossmember.
4. Remove two bolts and nuts attaching retainer to support and channel assembly.
5. Remove the bolts and nuts attaching support to frame and frame-mounted bracket.
