Typical Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor
NOTE: All 4.0L Over-Head Valve (OHV) engines are now equipped with a Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP), or Cylinder Identification Sensor
(CID) mounted on the camshaft synchronizer. The camshaft synchronizer replaces the oil pump drive assembly.
CAUTION: Syncro Positioning Tool T95T-12200-A must be obtained prior to installation of the replacement synchronizer assembly. Failure to
follow this procedure will result in the fuel system being out of time with the engine, possibly causing engine damage.
