Camshaft: Removal and Replacement
Camshaft
Removal
1. Remove the radiator assembly.
2. Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.
3. Remove the timing chain.
4. Remove the camshaft synchronizer assembly.
5. Remove the bolts and the camshaft thrust plate.
6. CAUTION: Damage to the camshaft or the camshaft bearings may occur if the camshaft is allowed to drop on the bearing surface or
cylinder block.
Remove the camshaft.
