8. Remove the engine support insulator nut.
Four wheel drive (4WD) vehicles
9. NOTE: Tape the U-joint bearing caps to prevent them from falling off the U-joints.
NOTE: Index-mark the front axle pinion flange to the front driveshaft.
Remove and discard the bolts and straps. Secure the driveshaft aside.
10. Secure the front axle housing to a suitable jack.
11. CAUTION: Any time bolts, washers, spacers or flagnuts are loosened in the front axle housing support for any reason, install new
components to prevent damage.
Remove the 3 axle housing mounting bolts and flagnuts, and lower the front axle housing support approximately 50 mm (2 inch).
12. Remove the engine support insulator nut.
