Discard the bolts, stud bolts and exhaust manifold gasket.
8. Clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.
Installation
1. NOTE: Install a new exhaust manifold gasket, bolts and stud bolts.
Install the exhaust manifold gasket, exhaust manifold, bolts and stud bolts.

Tighten in the sequence shown in 2 stages:

Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-inch).
^
Stage 2: Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
2. Attach the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube to the exhaust manifold.

Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
3. Install the upper intake manifold support brace and nut.

Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-inch).
4. NOTE: The end of the oil level indicator tube should be cleaned with metal surface prep before application of the sealant.
Install the oil level indicator and tube assembly.
^
Coat the oil level indicator tube with silicone gasket and sealant.
5. Install the oil level indicator tube bracket nut.
^
Tighten to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft).
6. Install the exhaust flange nuts.
^
Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
7. Connect the battery ground cable.
