Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

Heavy Duty Riveter

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

1. Remove the exterior door handle.

Remove the steel centers from the rivets.

Remove out the rivets.

3

Remove the exterior handle.

NOTE:  Use a drift punch to remove the steel centers and a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) diameter drill bit to remove the rivets.

2. Disconnect the cable conduit from the exterior handle.

Disconnect the locking clips.

Disconnect the cable conduit.
