Ranger 2WD V6-4.0L (2010)
Removal
All vehicles
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
3. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL). For additional information, refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction.
4. Remove the starter. For additional information, refer to Starting System.
5. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Oil Pan.
6. Remove the 2 bolts and position the fan shroud on the cooling fan.
7. Remove the oil level indicator.
8. Remove the 2 LH engine support insulator nuts.
9. Remove the A/C compressor and power steering bolt and use it to install the Engine Lifting Bracket.

Tighten to 42 Nm (31 lb-ft).
10. Remove the 2 RH engine support insulator nuts.
11. Remove the heater tube assembly front bolt and use it to install the Engine Lifting Bracket.

Tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).
