Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.

2. Disconnect the intermediate shaft speed sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the intermediate shaft speed sensor screw.

4. Remove the intermediate shaft speed sensor from the transmission.

Installation

1. NOTE: Inspect the intermediate shaft speed sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.

Inspect and lubricate the O-ring with petroleum jelly.

Install the intermediate shaft speed sensor into the transmission.

2. Install the intermediate shaft speed sensor screw.

Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

3. Connect the intermediate shaft speed sensor electrical connector.

4. Lower the vehicle.
