HUBCAP - APPLIQUE LOOSENING
LIGHT TRUCKS 1983-84 RANGER
Some 1983-84 Ranger vehicles may experience poor adhesion of the applique (E3TZ-1137-A) to the wheel ornament assembly. This concern may be
corrected by the following service procedure:

Clean center of existing ornament, removing all traces of residual adhesive or other contamination.
^
Apply approximately 1/16" thick coating of GERTV-108 clear adhesive to center flat area of ornament.
^
Apply replacement applique E3TZ-1137-A using light pressure to effect bond and disperse adhesive.
^
Clean off any adhesive visible after assembly of applique.
^
Allow adhesive to cure for two hours before driving vehicle.
This service procedure eliminates the past practice of replacing the entire ornament assembly when the hubcap applique becomes loose.
