If the sleeve is cracked or broken, replace the upper section of cable (E3TZ-9F723-B). Follow the procedure in Figure 20 for proper connection to
the lower control assembly.

If the cable sleeve is not cracked or broken, perform Steps 2 and 3 in Figure 20 to complete the cable assembly connection. Again, cycle the
cold-start knob in and out (resistance should now be felt). The timing advance manual lever on the fuel injection pump is now being actuated for
cold-start purposes.
