Refer to wiring schematic, Fig. 1, when troubleshooting this system.
1.
Turn ignition to Run position and observe ``Wait'' lamp. If lamp illuminates for 3 seconds and goes out, system is satisfactory; refer to ``Glow Plug
Control System'' diagnosis. If lamp does not light, proceed to step 2. If lamp lights and remains lit, replace glow plug control module and recheck
operation.

Connect a suitable jumper wire between connector terminal 11 and ground, Fig. 2, then turn ignition to Run position and observe ``Wait'' lamp. If
lamp now lights, proceed to step 3. If lamp still does not light, inspect lamp bulb and its circuit and repair or replace as necessary.

Connect a suitable 12 volt test lamp between connector terminal 9 and ground, Fig. 2, then turn ignition to Run position and observe ``Wait'' lamp.
If test lamp lights, replace glow plug control module and recheck operation. If test lamp does not light, repair or replace ignition switch or switch
wiring as necessary and recheck operation.
