Inspect the left front attaching bolt (N605815-S2) and flag nut (N802621-S53B) on the No. 5 crossmember which is the front support for the
auxiliary fuel tank. Refer to Attachments I, II, III and IV. Check the flag nut and fuel lines to:

Determine if the flag nut and bolt are loose (torque, 65-90 N-M, 48-66 ft.lbs.)

Determine if any of the adjacent fuel or vapor lines are pinched, cut, or show any damage, distortion or leakage.

Inspect the other (3) attaching bolts and flag nuts on the No. 5 crossmember to see if they are loose or missing.

If the No. 5 crossmember bolts and fuel lines inspection (steps 2 and 3 above) show that bolts /nuts are present and properly tightened and that fuel
and vapor lines are correctly routed with no visible damage, the vehicle needs no correction and may be released.
If corrections are needed, refer to the following appropriate repair procedure.
Repair - Nuts and Bolts, No. 5 Crossmember

Tighten all loose bolts/nuts to 65 to 90 N-M (48-66 ft.lbs.), being careful not to damage any adjacent fuel lines or wiring.
