Ranger 4WD L4-140 2.3L SOHC (1984)
Idle Speed: Adjustments
1984-86 2.0L, 2.3L, adjust hex rod at end of TSP with all vacuum hoses connected. To set fast idle, disconnect and plug the EGR vacuum hose.
2.2L diesel, turn the 10-mm bolt on the injection pump to set curb idle. To set fast idle, pull out choke fully and adjust the screw on the fast idle linkage.
