Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
Cable Bracket
REMOVAL
1. Remove the screws and remove the accelerator control splash shield (the 2.5L engine is shown, the 3.0L engine is similar).
2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle control lever.
3. Depress the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket (the 3.0L engine is shown, the 2.5L engine is similar).
4. Remove the speed control cable if so equipped.
5. Remove the bolts.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
