Band Apply Servo: Service and Repair
Low/Reverse Servo Assembly

LOW / REVERSE SERVO ASSEMBLY

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. 
2. Raise and support the vehicle. 
3. Remove the transmission pan. 

4. Remove the transmission fluid filter.

1. Remove the transmission fluid filter screw.
2. Remove the transmission fluid filter.

5. Remove the low/reverse band servo cover.

1. Remove the low/reverse band servo cover screws.
2. Remove the low/reverse band servo cover and gasket. Discard the low/reverse servo separator plate cover gasket.

6. Remove the low/reverse band servo piston and rod.

Installation

1. Clean and inspect the low/reverse band servo piston bore and the low/ reverse band servo piston and rod.
