Courtesy Lamp: Description and Operation
OPERATION
Glove Box Lamp
Voltage is applied from Fuse 1 to the glove box lamp and switch at all times. The Switch closes when the glove box is opened and the bulb lights.
Dome Lamp
Voltage is applied from fuse 1 through the main light switch, the left courtesy lamp switch, and the right courtesy lamp switch, to the dome lamp.
The main light switch energizes the dome lamp when the switch knob is turned fully counterclockwise. The courtesy lamp switches energize the
dome lamp when either of the doors is opened.
Outside Cargo Lamp
When the switch knob is turned fully counterclockwise, voltage is applied from fuse 1 through the main light switch to the cargo lamp.
High Mount Stop Lamps
Voltage is applied from fuse 10 at all times through the stop lamp switch. When the brake pedal is depressed, the switch closes, which energizes
the high mount stop lamp.
