Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Drain power steering pump reservoir, disconnect return hose at reservoir, then drain into suitable container.
3.
Remove drive belts.
4.
Remove oil dipstick tube, as required.
5.
Remove power steering pump bracket support brace, if equipped.
6.
Using power steering pump pulley removal tool No. T69L-10300-B or equivalent, hold pulley and rotate tool nut counterclockwise to remove. Do
not apply in and out pressure as internal thrust area damage may occur.
7.
Remove pump to bracket attaching bolts, then remove pump.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
