Install revised Transfer Case Rear Output Flange (XL5Z-7B214-AA) (Figure 1) using new Rotunda Service Tool 205-495 (Global tool number).
Torque the flange nut to 339-380 N.m (250-280 lb-ft).

5.

Using paint pencil/pen, write the current date, and TSB 99-16-1 on the output flange.

6.

Reinstall driveshaft assembly.

NOTE

FUTURE SERVICE OF TRANSFER CASE REAR OUTPUT FLANGE WILL REQUIRE THE USE OF A DAMPER REMOVER TOOL 303-144
(ALSO KNOWN AS T79T-631 6-A) FOR DISASSEMBLY.
