Pinion Bearing: Service and Repair
Pinion Bearing Cups

Do not remove drive pinion bearing cups from the retainer unless cups are worn or damaged.

1.

Using suitable puller, remove bearing cups.

2.

Using Bearing Cup Installation tool No. T71P-4616-A or equivalent, install new bearing cups.

3.

Check seating of cups by attempting to insert a .0015 inch feeler gauge between cup and bottom of bore. Cone and roller assemblies should be
replaced whenever cups are replaced.
