Door Glass - Will Not Roll Up Completely

DOOR - GLASS - WILL NOT ROLL UP COMPLETELY
LIGHT TRUCK: 1993 RANGER
ISSUE:
Side door glass may not roll up more than 1/3 the full travel after the door is slammed hard, causing the window to pop out of the window runs.
ACTION:
Reinstall window in runs. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
SERVICE - PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the door window crank handle and door trim panel. Refer to Light Truck Service Manual, Section 01, for service details.
2.
Lower glass.
a.
Loosen front and/or rear glass run bracket screws.
b.
Reinstall glass into glass runs.
3.
Tighten front glass run bracket, move rear bracket full forward and tighten.
4.
With glass down, insert pry tool (large, flat bladed screwdriver) into door, with flat blade against forward side of glass run:
a.
Gently position the glass run rearward, toward the glass, refer to Figure 1.
b.
Estimated gap between the bottom of the glass run channel and the edge of the glass should be 0.5 - 2.5 mm (1/32"- 7/64"). Adjustment will
be made in step 6.
5.
Roll the glass full up.
