8. NOTE: mark the position of the heating element.
Pry the block heater from the cylinder block.
Installation
NOTE: Clean the inside diameter of the cylinder block hole machined surface and hole entrance.
NOTE: Apply a liberal coating of Premium Long Life Grease XG-1-C or -K or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESA-M1C75-B to the block
heater O-ring and the cylinder block opening.
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. NOTE: Refill the engine cooling system.
3. Connect the battery ground cable.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
