Ranger 4WD V6-245 4.0L VIN X SFI (1999)
1. Clean the sealing surfaces.
2. Apply a bead of silicone rubber in four places. Use Silicone Gasket and Sealant F7AZ-1955EA or equivalent meeting Ford specification
WSE-M4G323-A4.
3. Install the lower intake manifold gasket.
4. Using the guide pins, install the intake manifold. Tighten the bolts in sequence in four steps.

Tighten to 2.5 Nm (22 inch lbs.).

Tighten to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.).

Tighten to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.).

Tighten to 14 - 18 Nm (11 - 13 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the water thermostat.
6. Install both the valve cover gaskets and the valve covers.
