Heater Core: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
NOTE: If a heater core leak is suspected, the heater core must be leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle.
1. Remove the instrument panel (dash board). See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair
2. Remove the evaporator core housing.See: Evaporator Case/Service and Repair
3. Drain the radiator. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair
4. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.
5. Remove the nuts and the plenum chamber.
6. Remove the screws and remove the heater core cover.
7. Remove the heater core.
