Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Disconnect the connector from the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.

3. Remove the screws and the camshaft position sensor.

Note:  If the synchronizer is turned while removing the CMP sensor, it must be re-aligned before the CMP sensor is installed. For more
information, refer to Synchronizer.  See: Synchronizer

Installation

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
