Ranger 4WD V6-3.0L VIN U (1997)
INSTALLATION
1. Position support to frame and frame mounted bracket, and attach with bolts and nuts. Tighten to 40-54 Nm (30-40 lb-ft).
2. Position retainer to support and channel. Install two bolts and nuts. Tighten to 20-30 Nm (15-22 lb-ft).
3. Install hinge to rear crossmember with two nuts. Tighten to 40-54 Nm (30-40 lb ft).
4. Install eyebolt to tire and channel assembly. Tighten to 8-10 Nm (70-80 b-in).
5. Raise rear of carrier and install bolt to hinge and channel. Tighten to 28-42 Nm (21-30 lb-ft).
