Heater Core: Description and Operation
The heater core consists of a number of fins and tubes positioned to extract available heat from the engine coolant and transfer that heat to the air that
passes through the heater core.
Outside air is heated as it passes through the fins of the heater core. Hot engine coolant is used to heat the core.
