Temperature Gauge: Testing and Inspection
1. Disconnect the water temperature indicator sender unit.
2. Connect one lead of Rotunda Instrument Gauge System Tester 014-R1063 or equivalent to water temperature indicator sender unit Circuit 39
(R/W) and the other lead to ground.
3. Set the tester to 300 ohms.
4. Turn the ignition switch lock cylinder to the ON position.
5. Wait one minute. The gauge should read "C" (cold).
6. Set the tester to 45 ohms.
7. Wait one minute. The gauge should read one quarter range to mid-range.
8. Set the tester to 18 ohms.
9. Wait one minute. The gauge should read "H" (hot).
