Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: Testing and Inspection
Valve to Housing Clearance

1. Use plug gauge to measure regulator valve bore.
2. Use micrometer to measure outside of plunger.
3. Subtract plunger diameter from bore size and check against specifications. If clearance is excessive, replace oil pump.
