Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
Electronic Instrument Cluster Tone
On vehicles equipped with an electronic instrument cluster. When a cluster button is pressed, the cluster requests the Generic Electronic Module (GEM)
to emit a momentary beep tone as acknowledgement.
When the electrical instrument cluster selected visual warning messages are displayed, the GEM will request activation of a beep tone to attract attention
to the electronic cluster display.
