WARNING:
THIS MODIFICATION IS AUTHORIZED ONLY FOR THE LISTED ENGINE. PERFORMING THIS MODIFICATION ON OTHER ENGINE
CALIBRATIONS IS UNAUTHORIZED AND COULD CREATE LIABILITY UNDER APPLICABLE FEDERAL OR LOCAL LAWS.
ISSUE:
Some vehicles may experience a hard start/long crank time and/or a stumble/hesitation after cold start on acceleration. This may be caused by seasonal
fuel overlap at the pumps.
ACTION:
Reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) using Service Bay Diagnostic System (SBDS). The revised calibration should reduce the possibility
of hard start/long crank times and/or stumble/hesitation. Refer to the following PCM Cross Reference Chart for correct PCM applications.
NOTE:
PCM REPLACEMENT IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY THIS TSB. REFER TO THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL/EMISSIONS DIAGNOSIS
(PC/ED) SERVICE MANUAL FOR APPROPRIATE DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES IF PCM HARDWARE CONCERNS EXIST.
