Parking Pawl: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Remove fluid pan. Remove fluid filter.
2. Remove EPC, SS2 and CCS solenoids. Remove case connector.

3. Remove the manual valve inner lever nut.

CAUTION:  To avoid damage, make sure the wrench does not strike the manual valve inner lever pin. 

4. Remove the manual valve inner lever and parking pawl actuating rod assembly.
5. Remove extension housing.
6. Inspect park pawl spring and shaft. Inspect park pawl actuating rod. Service as required.
