Flywheel: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Remove transmission.
2. Remove flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts, flywheel reinforcing plate (if equipped) and flywheel.

NOTE:  The engine rear plate can be removed.

INSTALLATION 

All major rotating components including flex plate/flywheel are individually balanced to zero. Engine assembly balancing is not required. Balance
weights should NOT be installed on new flywheels.

1. Install engine rear plate, if removed.
2. Position flywheel on the crankshaft, flywheel reinforcing plate (if equipped), and install attaching bolts. Tighten attaching bolts to 73-87 Nm

(54-64 ft. lbs.) using the standard cross-tightening sequence.

3. Install transmission.
