Wiper Pivot: Service and Repair
Windshield Wiper Mounting Arm and Pivot Shaft
REMOVAL
1. Cycle windshield wipers and shut off multi-function switch so wipers are in the PARK position.
2. Pull up on latch and remove windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft and windshield wiper blade assembly.
3. If replacing windshield wiper blade, remove windshield wiper blade.
INSTALLATION
1. If removed, install windshield wiper blade onto windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.
NOTE: Wiper should still be in the PARK position for installing windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft.
2. Position windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft and windshield wiper blade assembly on pivot.
3. Raise windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft and windshield wiper blade assembly to specified dimension above cowl top outer panel.
