Parking Brake Control: Service and Repair

Removal 

Test B1

1. NOTE:  Make sure the parking brake control is fully released.

Relieve the tension on the parking brake system.

Pull down on the parking brake intermediate cable.

Insert a 4 mm (5/32 inch) drill bit or equivalent retainer in the parking brake control.

2. Remove the LH front fender apron.

3. NOTE:  Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit at the locating hole end of the connector.

Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake intermediate cable.

4. Remove the front parking brake cable and conduit from the bracket.

Compress the retainer from the front parking brake cable and conduit from the bracket.

Remove the front parking brake cable and conduit from the bracket.
