Special Tools
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the shift cable.

Disconnect the shift cable from the manual control lever.

Remove the shift cable from the bracket.
4. Remove the digital Transmission Range (TR) sensor.
5. Remove the Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC).
6. Remove the main control valve body.
7. Remove the intermediate band locknut and unscrew the screw. Discard the intermediate band locknut after removal.
