Ranger 4WD V6-3.0L VIN V Flex Fuel (1999)
Compress the clutch diaphragm fingers.

Position the clutch pressure plate in a press.

Use a suitable adapter and press the clutch diaphragm fingers until the adjusting ring moves freely.
2. Adjust the clutch pressure plate.

Rotate the adjusting ring counterclockwise until the tension springs are compressed.

Hold adjusting ring while releasing the pressure on the clutch diaphragm fingers.
3. Position the clutch disc on the flywheel.

Use the clutch aligned to align the clutch disc.
4. NOTE: If reusing the clutch pressure plate, align using marks made during removal.
Position the clutch pressure plate on the flywheel dowels.

Align the clutch pressure plate. Install the bolts.

Remove the Clutch Aligner.
5. Install the transmission.
6. Install the starter motor.
7. Lower the vehicle. Connect the clutch master cylinder push rod to the clutch pedal.
