Ranger 4WD V6-4.0L (2009)
Installation
1. NOTICE: Tighten the bottom caliper bolt before tightening the top caliper bolt or damage to guide pins may occur.
NOTICE: Make sure the caliper pin boots are correctly seated to prevent damage to the guide pins.
Position the brake caliper and install the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts.

Tighten to 36 Nm (27 lb-ft).
2. Using 2 new copper washers, position the brake hose and install the brake caliper flow bolt.

Tighten to 34 Nm (25 lb-ft).
3. Bleed the brake caliper.
4. Install the wheel and tire.
5. Test the brake system for normal operation.

NOTE: Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) shown, Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) similar.
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the wheel and tire.
2. Remove the 2 brake caliper guide pin bolts and position the caliper aside.

To install, tighten to 36 Nm (27 lb-ft).

Support the caliper using mechanic's wire.
3. Remove the brake pads and the brake pad clips.
4. Remove the 2 brake caliper anchor plate bolts and the brake caliper anchor plate.

Discard the bolts.

To install, tighten the new bolts to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
