Removal and Installation
WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or
fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in
serious personal injury.
WARNING: Do not smoke, carry lighted tobacco or have an open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect the rear fuel tank vapor tube and Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor assembly-to-Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister quick connect
coupling.
4. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent solenoid electrical connector.
5. Remove the 3 EVAP canister and bracket assembly bolts.

To install, tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb-in).
6. Remove the EVAP canister and bracket assembly.
7. Disconnect the EVAP canister vent solenoid-to-dust separator hose from the EVAP canister vent solenoid.
8. Remove the EVAP canister vent solenoid from the EVAP canister.
9. Remove the EVAP canister from the bracket.
10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
