Remove the auxiliary drive belt. For additional information, refer to: Accessory Drive Belt (303-05 Accessory Drive, Removal and Installation). | Vehicles built up to 10/2002 | -
CAUTION:Cap the refrigerant lines and the A/C compressor to prevent dirt ingress. Detach the refrigerant lines from the A/C compressor. - Discard the O-ring seals.

CAUTION:Support the A/C compressor before removing the retaining bolts. Remove the A/C compressor. - Disconnect the A/C clutch electrical connector.
- Remove the retaining bolts.

Disconnect the A/C clutch electrical connector. | | -
CAUTION:Cap the refrigerant lines and the A/C compressor to prevent dirt ingress. Detach the refrigerant lines from the A/C compressor. - Discard the O-ring seals.

CAUTION:Support the A/C compressor before removing the retaining bolts. Remove the A/C compressor. | Installation | -
NOTE:Install new refrigerant line O-ring seals. NOTE:Lubricate the refrigerant line O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil before installation. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | |
