Obtain 3-inch wide pressure sensitive waterproof tape (D6AZ-19627-A). Cut off a 4-inch piece and apply to retain the cable to the instrument
panel, Figure 2.
NOTE:
Make sure cable routing is away from parking brake attachment.

Operate the hood cable handle to assure proper operation.
