Some 1986 Taurus vehicles built between Job #1 through March 1, 1986, may exhibit erratic trip odometer operation, such as readings of 099.9 rolling
to 000.0 or 090.0, with half steps common.
This concern cannot be corrected by repair or rework of the speedo/odo assembly. Replace the existing unit with an E6DZ-17255-E service speedo/odo
assembly, transferring the existing mileage to the new assembly using the service procedures provided with the replacement part.
