Fuel Door Control Handle - Loose/Falls Off

ISSUE:

Fuel filler and/or luggage compartment remote control handles that come loose or fall off may be caused by poor retention quality.

ACTION:

To correct this, apply an adhesive to the existing handle. If the existing handle is damaged, install a new handle using adhesive. Refer to the
following service procedure.

NOTE:

Refer to the Handle Application Chart on this page for the correct service part.

1.

Remove loose latch handle from metal levers located on left side of driver's seat near the floor.

2.

If latch handle is damaged, throw away old handle and obtain a new handle.

Sparingly apply Loctite's "Black Max" (Loctite 380) adhesive into the mounting slot, Figure 1.
