Position retention clip over metal portion of spring lock coupling. Position "horseshoe" shaped portion of retainer clip over spring coupling (refer
to Attachment II).
All vehicles except 2.9L Ranger/Bronco II and 1985 Post Job #1 5.0L EFI F-150/250/Bronco require the large "black" clips to be installed on the
supply side fuel lines and the small "gray" clips to be installed on the return side fuel line. 2.9L Ranger/Bronco II requires two (2) small gray
retainers only. 1985 Post Job #1 5.0L EFI F-150/250/Bronco requires two (2) small gray retainers on fuel cross-over tube only.

Firmly push retainer clip onto spring lock coupling, seating clip on metal portion and "horseshoe" over coupling. DO NOT INSTALL RETAINER
