Verify function of wiper and heated backlite system. Retain car with tailgate open for a minimum of 30 minutes.

If backlite replacement is necessary, per instruction #4 - see 1987 Taurus/Sable Shop Manual, Section 42-07 page 2 and Section 35-60 Page 12 for
wiper motor replacement.

NOTE:

Remove and retain all backlite glass to lift gate attachments for use when installing the new backlite glass.
