12. Install caliper assembly.
Removal

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
Parking Brake Cable And Retaining Clip
3. Remove retaining clip from parking brake at caliper. Disengage parking brake cable end from lever arm.
4. If the caliper is to be removed for service, disconnect the brake hose from the caliper and plug hose.
5. Hold slider pin hex heads with open-end wrench and remove pinch bolts.
6. Lift caliper assembly away from anchor plate.
7. Remove slider pins and boots from anchor plate.
8. If brake hose was not removed, secure the caliper with wire.
CAUTION: Do not let the caliper hang with its weight on the brake hose.

1. Apply silicone dielectric grease to inside of slider pin boots and to slider pins.
2. Position slider pins and boots in anchor plate.
3. Position caliper assembly on anchor plate. Ensure that brake pads are installed correctly.
