Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disengage the glove compartment door tabs and allow the door to hang by the hinge.
3. Remove the sensor assembly from the back bracket, attached to the instrument panel.

In-Vehicle Sensor Assembly

4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the in-vehicle sensor.
5. Disconnect the aspirator hose from the in-vehicle sensor by carefully disengaging the elbow latch.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect the electrical connector to the in-vehicle sensor.
2. Connect the aspirator hose to the in-vehicle sensor. Ensure the elbow latch engages the locking ramp on the sensor.
3. Position the in-vehicle sensor assembly into the bracket of the instrument panel.
4. Replace the glove compartment assembly.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.

NOTE:  On vehicles equipped with Electronic Engine Control (EEC), when the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal
drive symptoms may occur while the EEC processor relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn
the strategy.
