Antenna Mast: Service and Repair
Fixed Antenna
Removal and Installation
1. Push in on sides of glove compartment door and place glove compartment door in hinged downward position.
2. Disconnect radio antenna lead in cable from RH rear of radio chassis and remove from heater or A/C cable retaining clips.
3. NOTE: The antenna mast is detachable from the radio antenna base and cable assembly.
Remove RH front fender splash shield. Disconnect co-axial cable from antenna base assembly.
4. Under RH front fender, pull radio antenna lead in cable through hole in door hinge pillar and remove radio antenna lead in cable from wheel well
area.
5. To remove antenna base, remove radio antenna nut and radio antenna stanchion on RH front fender.
6. Remove lower antenna base screw and remove antenna base electric antenna.
