Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
CAUTION: Whenever a refrigerant line is replaced, it is also necessary to replace the suction accumulator/drier.
REMOVAL
1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system at the low-pressure access gauge port valve located on the suction line near the suction
accumulator/drier. Observe all safety precautions.
2. Disconnect and remove the refrigerant lines. At the condenser, use the disconnect procedure for the spring lock couplings.
INSTALLATION
Refrigerant Lines
1. Route the new refrigerant line with the protective caps installed.
2. Connect the refrigerant line into the system using new O-rings lubricated with clean specified refrigerant oil.
CAUTION: Make sure the correct type O-rings are installed on the A/C fittings.
3. Leak test, evacuate, and charge the refrigerant system following the recommended service procedures. Observe safety precautions.
