ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR
Engine coolant temperature sensor:
1. Is mounted into the engine or into the engine intake manifold.
2. The signal sent to the Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC) varies with the resistance of engine coolant temperature sensor, which depends on
the engine coolant temperature.
