Speedometer Head: Description and Operation
With Conventional Instrument Cluster
The speedometer is connected to the output shaft of the transaxle through a speed control cable by means of a flexible shaft (core), and a drive gear
located inside the transaxle. The core drives both the speedometer and an odometer. The core or flexible shaft is housed in a flexible casing.
